Getting your teeth worked on can be painful. A new study shows that the powerful, natural anti-inflammatory bromelain has advantages over Ibuprofen.
This triple-blind study compared 200mg of bromelain to 400mg of Ibuprofen in 48 people undergoing orthodontic separator placement.
At both 2 hours and 6 hours after the treatment, the bromelain group experienced significantly less pain. Adding turmeric provided no additional benefit.
The study concludes that bromelain can “be used as an effective alternative to Ibuprofen for pain control following orthodontic separator placement.”
This study adds to the evidence for bromelain as an effective anti-inflammatory and pain killer.
Pilgrim's Market carries a variety of Bromelain products in our supplements department. Come give us a visit - we're happy to help!
